I'm writing this from Wanganui, New Zealand, on the North Island (not far from Mt. Taranaki, pictured above). Tonight I'll be speaking at the Municipal Concert Hall where they are expecting an audience of about 200 people eager to learn all about nanotechnology. I've been here about ten days now, given seven talks in seven cities, been on the National Radio twice, and been interviewed by several newspaper reporters. The reaction has been great, with overflow audiences in most cities and lots on interest in CRN's ideas about responsible use of molecular manufacturing.
I'm giving two more talks in New Zealand after tonight's -- one in Palmerston North and one in Auckland -- and then I'll be off to Australia for about a week where I'll make presentations to university groups in Melbourne, Sydney, and Canberra. Finally, after three and a half exhilarating weeks, it's back to the US and home to New York City.
UPDATE ON AUSTRALIA: On Monday, 18 September, starting at 5:00 PM, I'm giving a talk at the University of Western Sydney, in Campbelltown. On Wednesday, 20 September, at 11:00 AM, I'll make a similar presentation in Canberra at the Australian National University's Leonard Huxley Lecture Theatre. Bost of these events are free admission and open to the public.

Any details for Australia? Are these talks open to all?
