interestingly i just also read an article about DNA being used to sort carbon nano tubes from physorg: http://www.physorg.com/news168613815.html.

Will they be able to bind multiple smaller CNTs of the same species into larger ones? i.e. a meter long CNT that will lead it being useful for its strength

Also why is it so difficult to build longer CNTs?
