You Are Here
I just discovered this amazing image...
This marvelous panoramic view was created by combining a total of 165 images taken by the Cassini wide-angle camera over nearly three hours on Sept. 15, 2006. With giant Saturn hanging in the blackness and sheltering Cassini from the Sun’s blinding glare, the spacecraft viewed the rings as never before, revealing previously unknown faint rings and even glimpsing its home world.
That tiny blue dot marked by the arrow is us -- the Earth -- all 25 thousand miles in circumference, 6 x 1024 kilograms of mass, and some 6.6 billion humans.
From the distance of Saturn, that little dot is all our existence amounts to. Kinda humbling.

One of my favorite posessions as a teenager was a dark blue T-shirt with the Milky Way printed on it, with an arrow stating, "You Are Here"....

Heh, that's funny, I had that same t-shirt and wore it until it was just threads.
