Tech Museum Awards
Global Call for Nominations
In a world where billions of people don't have clean drinking water, decent housing, or affordable transportation, the problems can easily seem insurmountable. But a growing number of innovators have marshaled the creativity and courage to apply themselves to these challenges. In 2001, the Tech Museum of Innovation in San Jose created the Tech Award to recognize their accomplishments. The Tech Museum Awards, presented by Applied Materials, Inc., is a unique and prestigious program that honors and awards innovators and visionaries from around the world who are applying technology to profoundly improve the human condition in the categories of Education, Equality, Environment, Economic Development, and Health. 25 Laureates will be honored at a black-tie celebration, invited to participate in press and media coverage, and introduced to a network of influential advisors. One Laureate in each category will be awarded a $50,000 cash prize. Reward those making a difference and nominate today!
Nomination Deadline: April 4, 2005
CRN supports this initiative and encourages you to nominate worthy candidates. We also hope that one year soon an award goes to a developer of advanced nanotechnology that leads to molecular manufacturing -- in a way that will "profoundly improve the human condition."
