A rose by any other name would smell as sweet -- William Shakespeare ("Romeo and Juliet")
Recent discussions -- on our blog, on Howard Lovy's Nanobot, and on the Soft Machines blog -- about shifting perspectives toward the possible development of molecular manufacturing reminded me of something I'd read last April.
Adrian Tymes, who attended an NNI conference in Washington DC, reported that they actually seemed to be aiming toward what we define as molecular manufacturing, even if they did not call it by that name. Rather than repeat myself, I'll suggest that you read his report, and our commentary on it.
